Today marks the beginning of my online journal. It's kind of exciting. My thoughts, brags and disappointments will all be laid out there. My own dear diary. Oh well, boring to most - but maybe not. I get into some interesting things. I'll share from time-to-time what I'm up to.

I usually spend my days doing anything from boring work things like invoicing and paperwork for our home based business, Cox & Associates (I'm the Associate) to digitizing corporate logos for our clients. I also love to work with metal clay. Here is a picture of a pendant I made recently that I like. I am usually doing my art at night after dinner so I don't have much to show you today yet.

I also am the caregiver for our granddaughter, Avery, who is 3 yrs old for 2 days a week. The rest of the week she is with her mom, our daughter, Gretchen.

And often I take care of Zachary after school on days when Gretchen works. It's more fun with both of them I think. Zachary is 7 yrs old.

These two play so well together. Zachary loves to draw, play baseball and read. He read his first book at age 7 and we were all so surprised.

Avery loves to be a princess or a frog or Dora the Explorer or a pig, "oink" "oink"... We have fun taking walks and finding treasures on the street. It's really great after big trash week because we find all kinds of shiny things and stuff our pockets full of acorns and bright colored leaves and things the trash men leave in the grass after clean-up.

I've got sinus surgery scheduled for 2 weeks from today. Oh man ... here I go again. Maybe it will be easier this time. The last time I went through this was probably 10 years ago.

I'll post more tomorrow. This was fun. See you again soon!
